  2. Thanks Martha, I have been struggling with this since Sunday I think I finally got it now.

  3. Hi Allison,
You fixed the issue, and I was able to view your video project. I liked your voice over and explanation of plagiarism. Most of the video seemed to be still pictures, however, and I'm wondering if you could have included a bit more actual video segments. I know I did not include enough video of other people in my video, but the blizzard tripped me up last week. What tool did you use to create your video? I used iMovie, and it was the first time I had used it, so I had to teach myself the ins and outs of the program. Once I got the hang of it, I thought it was fun, though. It gave me a new-found respect for videographers and film makers!

  4. Hi Martha, I am so glad you said you used Imovie because I did too. It was my first time using it as well. Yes, I know I have a lot of stills and it is because Imovie accepted my photos but not my video feed. I have over 3 minutes of video feed but I could uploaded and edit it. Can you tell me how you were able to do so? It would be much appreciate it.

    1. Allison,
I have not used imovie but when I edit a video, I make a total separate project just for editing one part of the project. I insert the video into the project, cut out the parts I want out and then save and produce the project. I think if you do this, then insert it into the big project, it might work. Do you understand what I mean?

    2. Hi Lori, not exactly but I am still playing with it and working on it despite the fact that I already submitted it. I was really stumped and confused. I am finding out the best lessons I am learning are coming from feedback after the project is over. Lol Thanks again.

  5. Allison,

I read where you had difficulties uploading your video into iMovie. I have never used that program, so I don't know how to fix that. I liked the different comics your used in the video, and you had a lot of research that backed up your topic. I think I would have been more engaged if there had been audio streaming through the entire video. I know there are music clips that can be used in video without royalties and such.

    1. Sarita, yes I did. I had music clips in the video at one point in time, but they were interfering with my voice overs and I decided to edit them out because I thought it was better if you guys could here what I was saying. But I am sure they will be helpful to know for future projects. Thanks

  7. Hi Allison,

I sincerely appreciate all the work you put into your video, and how important the topic of plagiarism is for all levels of education today. I especially liked the cartoon clips you included and the resources you shared. While watching your video, I was wondering when you were going to introduce the guest speaker, and why you waited until the last 56 seconds to formally introduce Dr. Posner? The clapping was an effective audio tool at the end of the introduction. Have you read his book “The Little Book of Plagiarism.” Best wishes to you as you continue your scholarly doctoral journey.
    Sincerely,
    LeAnn

I enjoyed viewong your project. I liked the way it was created in imovie. I enjoyed seeing many of the items in comic strips. Did you use an app for that such as ComicBook or was that just available in imovie? I think it would have been better if you did add a short video clip but I see that you mentioned having issues with that. I understand that. Learning new programs is a lot when you want to do many different things in your first project. The video of yourself is great and I think you had great transitions between clips throughout. Nice job.

  9. Hello Allison,

We all love the comic strip theme and I especially liked the transitions between segments. I thought it was particularly clever to present the research by showing the page and narrating, but I kept seeing the same page 3 times.

Also, I would have liked to see you address the online part of the issue more and less about defining the topic. I was expecting you to mention TurnItIn or other solutions that teachers are using to catch plagiarism; I got the feeling instead you were addressing ways to prevent it in the first place.

    Cheers - Shar!

  10. Hi Allison,

I see that several of us struggled with getting our presentations properly posted.

I loved you presentation on plagarism. The video was basic and deminstrated clear information on what plagarism is, how to avoid it and the importance of not plagarising. I loved the grapghics as well and learned quite a bit. I did like the attention gainers that you used; especially the copying of the work for food sign.

    Have a blessed day.
